Figs in
Prosciutto Blankets
Everyone
loves pigs in a blanket – tiny frankfurters wrapped in
biscuit dough – but have you ever tried this spin-off? Prosciutto
wrapped around fresh figs?

ripe figs, split in half lengthwise
16
slices thin prosciutto
2 TBL olive oil
¼
pound parmesan or provolone cheese (shaved)
Preheat
the grill:
Wrap
each fig half with a slice of prosciutto and secure with a
skewer or toothpick. Lightly
brush with olive oil and grill 2 to 3
minutes, turning once. Remove
the skewers or toothpicks and
top the figs with shaved cheese and a sprinkling of black
pepper.
Serve
immediately.
